Less than an hour after the Guam Police Department identified Lucian Maratita George, Jr. as the suspect who robbed the Dededo Shell Gas Station at gunpoint, authorities confirmed he is in custody.
According to GPD, George He was wanted for questioning relative to “several robbery incidents.”
The statement from police came after a swarm of officers were seen in Upper Tumon engaging a biege sedan that matched the description provided by GPD during the press conference. A video of the incident was widely circulated on social media. The video showed multiple police vehicles in pursuit of the beige sedan before the vehicle is sideswiped by a police car and hit head on by a second police unit.
GPD has yet to confirm but noted more details will be released later today.
