According to the latest brief from the National Weather Service, the eye of Typhoon Sinlaku has moved only 25 miles over the last 14 hours. This slow movement indicates that the storm will be an extended event.
Guam remains in Condition of Readiness, COR, 1, and Joint Region Marianas remains in TCCOR 1E, as destructive winds of 50 knots (57 mph) or greater continue. This is as of 12:12 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2026. All installation access points are closed, with the exception of the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam for emergency department access only.
Island residents are advised to remain indoors until COR 4 is officially announced.
