The search for a 22-year-old man who went missing while swimming offshore near the Tanguissan Power Plant, shifted to recovery, according to the Guam Fire Department who noted recovery operations were carried out throughout Thursday.

The search for the missing swimmer began Tuesday evening, and involves the GFD, the Guam Police Department, U.S. Coast Guard and HSC25. However, since the effort began, searching the waters has turned up empty.

At 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, GFD officials noted conducting "multiple SCUBA dive operations and surface water searches" in coordination with the Guam National Guard Lakota, the U.S. Coast Guard and GPD.

GFD said operations would cease at 6 p.m. and resume on Friday at 7 a.m.
