The Department of Revenue and Taxation announced Tuesday that a fifth batch of 2025 individual income tax refunds has been disbursed, bringing the year-to-date total to nearly $61 million.
The latest batch totaled $6,678,050.56, covering 3,178 payments — 2,595 paper checks and 583 electronic fund transfers — for taxpayers who filed on or before Feb. 15, 2026. The previous batch totaled $9,354,446.84 for filers who submitted returns on or before Feb. 11.
Refunds are being processed and paid weekly. Due to a surge in return volume, DRT said turnaround time will fluctuate between six and eight weeks.
Taxpayers have until May 15, 2026 to file under Executive Order 2026-02.
Residents who owe taxes and cannot pay in full may contact DRT's Collection Branch to discuss payment options.
