Guam Fire Department rescue units launched an active search early Monday morning for a missing fisherman identified as 34-year-old Kevin Nauta.

According to officials, the E911 Center received a report at 4:29 a.m. of a man who went missing while fishing in the Pago Bay area. Rescue teams from the Guam Fire Department began search operations shortly after, combing the coastline and surrounding waters.

The U.S. Coast Guard and Guam Police Department have joined the search effort, deploying both land and sea assets to assist in locating Nauta. Authorities have not released details about the circumstances leading to his disappearance.

Officials said the search remains active and additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
