Guam Fire Department units responded late Tuesday morning to a two-car crash on Route 1 near Fisheye Marine Park that left one man dead and injured five others, according to GFD officials. The collision was reported at 11:55 a.m., prompting the dispatch of rescue and medic units.
Responders said a man believed to be in his early to mid-30s was found pulseless and not breathing when crews arrived. Firefighters extricated him from the vehicle and began CPR as paramedics continued life-saving measures on scene. At 12:39 p.m., paramedics terminated resuscitation efforts in accordance with GFD and Guam Memorial Hospital medical protocol due to the extent of the man’s injuries.
Five additional patients were evaluated at the scene, all sustaining minor injuries, GFD said. One patient has already been transported to GMH, and the remaining individuals are expected to be taken for further medical assessment.
The man's death marks the 19th traffic fatality for 2025. Further details on the cause of the collision were not immediately available.
