The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) is joining the global observance of Diabetes Awareness Month this November by sharing daily tips, facts, and educational resources to help island residents stay informed and take charge of their health.

Throughout the month, DPHSS will release infographics and wellness reminders focused on prevention, early detection, and lifestyle habits that reduce the risk of diabetes and its complications. Each resource is designed to encourage healthy eating, regular physical activity, and greater awareness of diabetes management.

Community members are encouraged to share the materials with family, friends, and organizations to spread awareness and support healthier living across Guam. “Stay active, stay informed, stay healthy,” DPHSS urged in its announcement.

For more information or questions, residents can contact the DPHSS Diabetes Control Program at DiabetesControl@dphss.guam.gov.
