Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing and carjacking in Dededo earlier this year. Authorities identified the suspect as AM Ermis, described as a “homeless-transient” who frequents the villages of Toto, Dededo and Barrigada.
The Guam Police Department said the May 14 incident began in the Fern Terrace area of Dededo, where a victim was stabbed and their car stolen. The vehicle was later abandoned on Fujita Road in Tumon. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Ermis stealing another car outside Star Massage in Tumon shortly after. Both vehicles have since been recovered.
Investigators said Ermis is also a suspect in a burglary of a motor vehicle in Fern Terrace and vandalism involving spray-painted walls in the area. Police warn that he may be armed with a knife.
Ermis is described as a dark-complected Chuukese male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in the Tumon area. Authorities advise the public not to approach him and instead call GPD Dispatch at 671-475-8615~7.
