The Guam Police Department is conducting a death investigation following the death of an inmate at the Department of Corrections.
The inmate was identified as Cliff John Monzon Tucker, 47. Authorities confirmed that his next of kin has been notified.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred March 22 at about 10 p.m., when a corrections officer beginning a shift observed Tucker appearing unresponsive. Medics were immediately called to the scene and rendered aid, including CPR.
Tucker was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at 11:29 p.m., that same day.
The case remains under investigation and has been forwarded to the Guam Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. No additional information has been released.
