Guam Police Department units were investigating an officer-involved shooting Monday afternoon at a residence on Hahasu Drive in Dededo following a reported aggravated assault.
Police said a call was received at about 3:03 p.m. regarding an aggravated assault. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered an adult male suspect who was armed with a firearm. The encounter led to an officer-involved shooting.
Medics responded and transported the suspect to Guam Regional Medical City for treatment. The suspect’s condition was not immediately available.
Police spokesperson Norman Analista said the investigation is ongoing, and no additional information was being released as of Monday afternoon.
