The Guam Police Department has identified the island's third traffic fatality of 2026 as Lumon James Tio, 21, the operator of a vehicle involved in a three-car crash on June 6 in Mangilao.
Tio was identified through the Chief Medical Examiner's Office, and his next of kin has been notified.
According to preliminary information, the crash occurred around 5:24 a.m. at the intersection of Route 26 and Adacao Road. Tio was traveling west on Route 26 when his vehicle encroached on the eastbound lane and collided with two vehicles traveling east, police said.
Tio was pronounced dead at the scene. GPD extended its condolences to his family and friends.
