A man in his mid-30s was pronounced dead Sunday evening following a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle along Route 2 in front of the Agat Marina, according to the Guam Fire Department.
GFD reported receiving the call at 7:59 p.m. and found the motorcyclist pulseless and breathless when units arrived at the scene. CPR was immediately initiated, but due to the severity of the injuries, paramedics, under medical control, terminated resuscitative efforts.
The Guam Police Department closed both northbound and southbound lanes of Route 2 during the emergency response and advised motorists to use alternative routes. Authorities did not immediately provide additional details about the other vehicle involved in the collision.
The identity of the man has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.
