More than $114M in tax refunds paid year to date

More than $114 million in 2025 tax refunds have been paid year to date, the Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation (DRT) and Department of Administration announced Monday, stressing that "typhoon recovery efforts are not interfering with timely distribution of tax refunds."

The 14th batch of refunds totals $6,398,468.52, representing 2,464 payments — 1,864 paper checks and 600 electronic funds transfers.

The refunds cover tax filings submitted on or before March 27.

DRT said 2025 income tax refunds continue to be processed in the order they were filed.

"Due to the surge in the volume of returns, turnaround time will continue to fluctuate between eight and ten weeks," DRT said.

Those who owe taxes but cannot pay the full amount may contact DRT's Collection Branch to discuss payment options.
