A man on felony pretrial release was arrested following a high-speed police pursuit that began in Dededo and ended in Tamuning, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by the Guam Attorney General’s Office.
On August 20, police attempted to stop a silver Honda Civic with an expired registration along Route 1. The driver, later identified as Trevor Ryan Moss, refused to yield, instead leading officers on a pursuit along Route 28. During the chase, Moss allegedly ran multiple red lights, drove on the shoulder, and nearly collided with other vehicles as sparks flew from his car’s flat tires.
The pursuit ended near an ABC Store in Tamuning, where Moss fled on foot. Officers tackled him after a short scuffle, during which he resisted arrest before being handcuffed, the affidavit stated. A search of the vehicle uncovered a modified glass pipe with crystalline residue that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Moss was arrested in the early morning hours of August 21 and now faces charges of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, resisting arrest, eluding police, and reckless driving. Because he was already out on felony pretrial release in another case, prosecutors noted that the new charges fall under Guam’s “felony on felony release” statute.
