A 19-year-old man has been charged in the Superior Court of Guam on allegations that he raped a girl when she was six-years-old.
The girl now 10-years old, reported the allegations to Guam Police on March 27, recalling the incident occurred in November 2021, while she and the defendant, Koby John Matagolai Balajadia were at a residence in Yona.
"The Defendant called the Victim into a bedroom. The Defendant then removed the Victim's clothing and his clothing. The Defendant told the Victim not to scream," the affidavit of probable cause states.
According to the minor, Balajadia who was 16-years-old at the time, had sexual intercourse with her causing her to bleed. Balajadia was charged on Saturday with first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Prosecutors called for his confinement noting the severity of the crime.
Superior Court Magistrate Judge Sean Brown set bail at $10,000 and ordered Balajadia be detained at the Department of Corrections pending further litigation.
