Guam police arrested a man on Wednesday night following a high-speed pursuit through several villages that ended in Tumon. Trevor Ryan Moss was taken into custody on Aug. 20 and faces charges of reckless driving, eluding a police officer and resisting arrest, according to the Guam Police Department.
The incident began around 7:51 p.m. when officers attempted a traffic stop on Route 28 in Dededo. Police said Moss initially pulled to the roadside before driving away northbound. The chase continued onto Route 16 toward Harmon, where the sedan Moss was operating sustained damage, leaving two flat tires and sparking rims.
Police reported the vehicle proceeded to Tumon, where it crossed into the opposite lane near Pacific Islands Club Guam and eventually came to a stop near the entrance of an ABC Stores parking lot. Guam News staff was on scene as the event unfolded capturing the final moments before Moss’ capture. He was seen running from the car as police gave chase to the rear parking lot, Guam News captured the incident on video. Moss was apprehended by Dededo Precinct Command officers. Moss was later transported by medic units to Guam Regional Medical City for treatment.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a makeshift glass pipe containing suspected methamphetamine residue, police said. Moss was booked and confined to the Department of Corrections. His case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
