The Superior Court of Guam detained a man following allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman while she slept at his residence.
According to the complaint the woman filed the report with the Guam Police Department on June 8. She told police that she accepted an offer from Edwin Troy Guzman Salonga for a free tattoo two days prior and went to his residence.
"Salonga and the victim's friend offered to let the victim stay there for a little bit because the victim was having personal problems at her residence. The victim accepted their offer. Salonga began tattooing the victim that night, but stopped at approximately 2:00 a.m. on June 7," the complaint states.
That day, the victim declined an invitation to swim and stayed at Salonga's home to sleep.
"The victim went to sleep in Salonga's bedroom fully clothed. The victim awoke at approximately 4:00 a.m. on June 8, 2026, completely naked and felt a "throbbing pressure," the complaint said referencing her private area.
After the victim dressed, she claimed that Salonga made a sexual comment toward her.
"The victim got angry and asked why he would do that to her, to which Salonga stated, 'I don't know, maybe you're hot.' The victim went back inside and asked her friend to take her home and informed her friend what happened. Her friend confronted Salonga and then took the victim home," the complaint states.
On June 14, police questioned the "friend" who confirmed the events from the victim's statement, however, noted that Salonga "denied all claims."
"The victim's friend also stated she didn't take the victim home and does not know who picked the victim up," the complaint said.
Police met with Salonga on Aug. 28 as part of the follow-up investigation. The complaint states that Salonga denied the allegations.
Salonga was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct as a second-degree felony and fourth degree criminal sexual conduct as a misdemeanor.
He is detained with cash bail set at $5,000.
