Guam Police arrested a 34-year-old Hagåtña man Tuesday in connection with a series of property crimes and multiple outstanding warrants, according to a Guam Police Department news release. Cameron Jose Guerrero was taken into custody Nov. 25 and faces a lengthy list of charges, including felony theft of a motor vehicle, fraudulent use of a credit card, burglary to a motor vehicle and reckless driving.
Officers from the Dededo Precinct Command located an SUV known to be operated by Guerrero outside a Mangilao residence, police said. Guerrero was found inside the vehicle and apprehended without incident. During an interview, he admitted involvement in the reported offenses and was confirmed to have several active warrants for his arrest.
GPD noted that Guerrero had been the subject of a Wanted Person flier issued Oct. 3 seeking the community’s help in locating him. In addition to the felony charges, he faces multiple counts of theft, eluding a police officer, guilt by complicity and conspiracy.
Guerrero was processed, booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. Police forwarded the case to the Office of the Attorney General for review and prosecution.
