Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has placed Guam in Condition of Readiness, COR, 4 as of 12 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2026. At COR 4, the island resumes normal operations.
The National Weather Service, Weather Forecast Office Guam, has canceled the tropical storm warning and typhoon watch for Guam.
However, everyone should remain out of the water due to life-threatening surf conditions. Hazardous sea conditions and a high risk of rip currents remain in effect. Residents and visitors are advised to avoid the water and shoreline trails, as high surf can be deadly.
The Guam Police Department has reported that Route 1 Marine Corps Drive, from Shell East Agana to Alupang Pavilion, is closed while the Department of Public Works clears debris. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. Updates will be provided as they become available, according to the Joint Information Center.
