Guam Girl Scouts is inviting the public to celebrate 90 years of leadership, service and sisterhood during its upcoming “Brunch at the Museum” event on May 23 at the Guam Museum.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature a curated exhibit highlighting the organization’s history and contributions to Guam’s community over the past nine decades.
Guests will be able to explore memorabilia, photographs and historical displays showcasing generations of Girl Scouts and their achievements on the island.
Organizers said the exhibit is designed to bring together families, alumni and community members in recognition of the organization’s milestone anniversary.
Founded on Sept. 12, 1935, by Agueda Johnston and Francys Darr, Guam Girl Scouts has provided leadership and development programs for girls ages 5 to 17 and remains fully locally funded.
The organization said its programs focus on developing leadership, positive values and organizational skills while promoting friendship and community involvement.
Tickets for the event are available online, at the door on the day of the event, or in advance at the Guam Girl Scouts office during weekday afternoon hours.
