Guam Regional Medical City announced Monday that Jennifer Sevilla, its medical staff recruiting and services manager, has earned a national certification recognizing advanced expertise in physician and provider recruitment.
Sevilla received the Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional credential from the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment, with the certification officially issued Oct. 5, 2025, the hospital said.
The CPRP credential is awarded to recruitment professionals who demonstrate mastery of the provider recruitment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, hiring, onboarding, retention, workforce planning and regulatory compliance. Certification requires completion of a comprehensive education program and passage of a national examination covering areas such as compensation benchmarking, immigration and visa processes for international medical graduates, diversity and inclusion, and recruitment-related legislation.
GRMC officials said the certification places Sevilla among a select group of nationally certified recruitment professionals committed to high standards in healthcare talent acquisition.
Sevilla began her healthcare career in 1993 at Guam Memorial Hospital, working in medical staff administration. She joined GRMC in March 2018 as medical staff support manager and expanded her role in 2021 to include physician and provider recruitment.
During her tenure, Sevilla has helped recruit specialists in interventional cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, and hematology and oncology, improving access to advanced medical care for Guam residents, the hospital said.
Sevilla said the certification strengthened her understanding of national recruitment standards and best practices, helping GRMC remain competitive in attracting and retaining healthcare professionals. She credited GRMC leadership, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. Edison Manaloto, for supporting her professional development.
