The Guam Power Authority (GPA) is advising customers of a billing error that caused an incorrect message about a power credit to appear on some recent statements.

According to GPA, the issue stemmed from a mistake by its billing vendor during production, resulting in both printed and digital bills showing a message referencing a power credit that does not exist.

Officials emphasized that no power credits are currently being issued, and all account balances and charges remain accurate.

The error impacted approximately 2,300 customers in Dededo whose accounts fall within a specific billing cycle.

GPA said it has directed its vendor to implement corrective measures and conduct a full review to ensure the issue does not happen again.

“We understand this may have caused confusion and apologize for the inconvenience,” the agency stated.
