The search for a 28-year-old distressed swimmer reportedly missing since Sunday at around 5:15 p.m., continues according to the Guam Fire Department (GFD) which provided an update on Monday, August 10.

As of 9:15 a.m., Monday, the 28-year-old male swimmer last seen without a shirt and wearing multicolored shorts in the Gun Beach area remained missing GFD said there were no changes in the status overnight.

GFD began the search after the 911 Call Center received the report of a distressed swimmer on Aug. 9. Surface and dive search efforts were conducted with Navy HSC-25, the Guam Police Department and the United States Coast Guard assisting in the search.

GFD said Monday's multi-agency effort will include the Navy HSC-25 conducting aerial flyover search operations.
