Four individuals from Dededo were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the village which the Guam Police Department described as a "coordinated multi-unit tactical operation."
The tactical operation involved the Dededo Precinct Command (DPC), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Criminal Investigation Section (CIS), and Special Investigation Section (SIS).
"Units executed a high-risk search warrant at a residence in Dededo, stemming from an ongoing
investigation into a series of recent burglaries at Finegayan Elementary School," GPD said.
The raid led to the arrest of four individuals identified as "primary suspects" named in the warrant, Leiland James CUndiff, 19, Joshua Frank Benevente, 39, Melvin Jose Cundiff, 21 and Andrew Rae Toves, 32.
During the raid, police say they conducted a "systematic search or the premises recovering "stolen property linked directly to the Finedayan Elementary School burglaries." Authorities also found and seized "various illicit drug paraphernalia and recovered "separate stolen property linked to an active independent theft complaint."
According to Police Cundiff and Benavente "confessed" telling police about their "direct involvement" in the school burglaries, receiving stolen property and exchanging it for "illicit narcotics.
Police arrested the four suspects on the following offenses.

Joshua Frank Benavente, 39, Dededo
• Burglary – Forced Entry – Non Residence, 4 Counts
Melvin Jose Cundiff, 21, Dededo
• Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Theft by Receiving
• Fraudulent Use License Plate
• Reckless Driving
• Eluding a Police Officer
Andrew Ray Toves, 32, Dededo
• Theft of Property
All four men were booked and confined to the Department of Correction while they wait for adjudication.
