The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory and Thunderstorm Advisory for Guam until 2:45 p.m.
Heavy rainfall is expected with 1 to 2 additional inches possible, leading to urban and small stream flooding. Thunderstorms are possible within 20 nautical miles of Guam International Airport.
Residents are advised to:
- Use caution when driving in heavy rain and low visibility.
- Slow down where water is ponding on the road.
- Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters.
- Stay away from streams and rivers that may flood quickly.
Seek shelter if lightning or thunder is present.
The Offices of Homeland Security and Civil Defense urge the community to travel cautiously, drive below the speed limit, and allow safe braking distance between vehicles.
