The Guam Police Department has closed a section of Route 14B reporting a fire by the old Polyclinic on Ypao Road.
GPD Spokesperson Norman Analista made the announcement at 4:09 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, advising the community to expect traffic delays and plan for alternative routes. No estimated time for the road to reopen was not provided by authorities.
The Guam Fire Department received the call at 3:48 p.m., telling Guam News units responded for a reported "shipping container fire."
There were no occupants and subsequently, no injuries reported, Garrido said, further confirming the fire "was under control shortly thereafter."
