The Guam Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire Tuesday morning at Blue Lagoon Condominiums in Tamuning, as Super Typhoon Sinlaku’s Tropical Storm-Force winds continued to batter the island under Condition of Readiness 1.
Units were dispatched at 9:35 a.m. and arrived on scene to assess the situation. Authorities later classified the fire as an electrical fire. “No injuries,” GFD said.
The response comes as emergency services across the island are operating under limited capacity during COR 1, with first responders navigating hazardous conditions including sustained winds of 50 to 60 mph and gusts up to 70 mph.
GFD said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
