Guam Delegate James Moylan’s office hosted a two-day community outreach event last weekend aimed at connecting residents with federal agencies that serve the island. The Bridging D.C. & District event took place Aug. 29 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Micronesia Mall’s former JP Superstore location.
Organizers said the outreach was designed as a one-stop resource where residents asked questions, accessed support, and explored federal programs and services. Participating agencies included the Guam Veterans Affairs Office, Guam Vet Center, Veterans Benefits Administration, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Social Security Administration, the Honolulu Passport Agency, and the Guam Department of Labor.
The event also featured on-site veteran service support, where veterans spoke with VA representatives, submitted intake forms, and connected to benefits. Officials encouraged veterans to bring their DD214 or NGB-22 forms to help expedite services.
The outreach reflected Moylan’s efforts to improve access to federal resources on Guam, with agencies working directly with the community to address needs ranging from immigration and passports to veterans’ assistance and labor programs.
