The Department of Revenue and Taxation and the Department of Administration have release $5.3 million in tax refund checks to those who filed on or before May 3.
The 18th batch of refunds issued for tax year 2025 totals $5,343,772.52 and represents 2,313 processed tax returns - 1,769 paper checks and 544 electronic fund transfers.
This installment brings the total amount of 2025 tax refunds paid to date to $132,728,645.45.
"DRT continues to process 2025 income tax returns in the order they were filed. Residents who owe taxes and cannot pay the full amount may contact DRT's Collection Branch to discuss payment options," DRT said.
Estimated turnaround for tax returns continues to be eight to ten weeks.
