The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) announced Friday that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Cash Assistance benefits were not successfully loaded onto Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards on Thursday due to connectivity issues.
In a public notice, DPHSS officials said the agency is working closely with the Office of Technology to resolve the technical failure. The department acknowledged the disruption and offered apologies to affected clients for the inconvenience.
Residents who rely on these benefits are advised to check their EBT balances after 7:15 p.m. tonight, August 1. Clients can do so by calling the customer support number listed on the back of their EBT card or by logging into their accounts at www.ebtedge.com.
For additional assistance, residents are encouraged to contact the DPHSS Bureau of Economic Security.
