A new destination for students, service members, and families is now open on Ukudu Road in Dededo. Café O’ Lake, named after the owner’s daughter, Amelia Lake, has officially opened its doors.
Owner Aileen De Dios has curated an extensive menu featuring hot and iced coffee, coffee and non-coffee based frappes, panini wraps, flatbread naan pizza, pudding, and sandwiches. The café also introduces several items new to Guam, including pizza cones, iced energy drinks, horchata lattes, and horchata frappes.
A family-oriented business near Okkodo High School, De Dios employs five high school students who affectionately refer to her as "Mama." While the opening was delayed by a year due to extensive renovations and administrative hurdles, De Dios expressed her excitement to finally transition the former office space into a fully operational coffee shop, especially as development continues at the nearby Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz.
