The Guam Fire Department says bystanders pulled a man and child out of the waters at Ritidian Point on Sunday.
GFD reported receiving a call for help at 1:40 p.m., and responded to two distressed swimmers outside the reef.
“Prior to the arrival of GFD personnel, bystanders successfully assisted both victims, an adult male and a 10-year-old female, onto the reef. CPR was initiated on the adult male by bystanders before GFD personnel arrived,” GFD said.
GFD said CPR continued on the man en route to the Guam Regional Medical City. The 10-year-old female was also transported to GRMC for medical evaluation.
