The Guam Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon at the Grand Market in Dededo, where a suspect allegedly fled with about $500 in cash.
According to police, the robbery happened around 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 18 when a man with a medium to heavy build and short to medium curly hair entered the store and approached the cashier counter. The suspect, who was armed with a small firearm, demanded money from the cashier before fleeing the scene on foot.
A portion of the incident was captured on surveillance video and has since circulated on social media, police said. Investigators are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect or have information about the case to contact authorities.
