The Archdiocese of Agaña has released the full schedule of Palm Sunday and Holy Week services for Catholic churches across Guam, culminating with Easter Sunday celebrations on April 5, 2026.
At the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica in Hagåtña, Palm Sunday Masses on March 29 include the traditional Blessing of Palms and Reading of the Lord’s Passion at 6 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 6 p.m. The Chrism Mass, featuring the renewal of priestly vows and the blessing of holy oils, will take place on Holy Wednesday, April 1, at 6 p.m.
Maundy Thursday, April 2, will be marked by the Mass of the Lord’s Supper and the washing of the feet of the apostles, followed by a vigil in the Chapel of St. Therese until midnight. On Good Friday, April 3, the faithful will gather at 1:30 p.m. for the Stations of the Cross and 3 p.m. for the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion and Procession. The Easter Vigil is set for 7 p.m. on Holy Saturday, followed by Easter Sunday Masses at 6 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
Parishes throughout the island, including Our Lady of Peace and Safe Journey Church in Chalan Pago, Santa Barbara Church in Dededo, San Vicente/San Roque Church in Barrigada, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Hågat, have also announced similar programs of liturgies, vigils, and devotions.
Most churches will observe the Paschal Triduum, beginning Holy Thursday and continuing through the Easter Vigil, with Good Friday services featuring ref lections on the “Seven Last Words,” Stations of the Cross, and the Veneration of the Cross.
